Lindsay, 24, is originally from Burbank whereas Charters, 21, is from St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The two of them along with two others planned to abduct the cannabis tycoon but things went wrong resulting in the death of Tushar Atre.

During the investigation, authorities found out Lindsay and Charters worked at one of Atre’s facilities but only for a short period. However, even in that period, there grew animosity between them.

Lindsay and Charters lost Atre’s car keys which resulted in him stopping their paychecks. Later, Atre made them do pushups and other activities in front of other co-workers. After they got their payments, the two left.

Stephe Lindsay and Kaleb Charters are currently detained a the Santa Cruz County Jail, California. If convicted, they will be serving a life sentence at a California State Correctional Facility.

The two along with Kaleb’s brother, Kurtis Charters, and Joshua James Camps, were charged with murder, kidnapping, first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, kidnapping to commit another crime, carjacking, and first-degree burglary.

They have been charged with a total of seven counts and face up to life imprisonment. As per reports, they may have served without the possibility of parole as well.
